You can have a free blog on Wordpress.org. Or just pay for a host - you can get a good one for dollars a month.
What don't you like about the new interface? I'm finding highlight and press a button vastly preferable to typing html. Though I will admit the embedding of images is now terrible. Of course, I don't fiddle with my template as much as you do...(Why does that sound dirty?)
i didnt like the change, but after a few postings i'm liking it. and image embedding is easier for me too. using FF browser.
